Dream Big!!

I had a strange dream last night......

I was here on earth representing an advanced alien race. I had been recalled to my home planet. Ok, so far, so good.

The first leg of my journey was a Greyhound bus ride from Cleveland to Columbus......then I woke up.

To tell you the truth, I really hope this dream doesn't continue with the next sleep cycle. I rather dread the inter-planetary and/or inter-stellar legs of the journy!!

Advanced alien race......pffffffft!

Of late, I have been wondering why my own dreams always seem to get into an ending that is so upsetting that I wake up to escape the nonsense.

You are very fortunate this was a dream and you only went from Cincinatti (or Cleveland) to Columbus. In younger years, I once took a Greyhound bus from San Francisco to New York City, and then went down to Washington, D.C , through Nashville, to Las Vegas, and back to San Francisco. It was a deal where you could ride as much as you wanted for one price for 30-days.

The only thing I learned was that those seats are made for teenaged girls and little old ladies. Well, I also learned that I never wanted to see another Greyhound bus station anywhere.

I can't rember what I dreamed last night, but it was vaguely annoying again. Woke up to get out of something wierd.

Aliens have been destroying this world for ages. The Mongols conquered 25% of the known world, Columbus came to the New World and the Spanish took all the gold back to Spain, settlers killed all the buffalo and took all the good land, and even the Chinese are resentful of aliens opening up trading ports.

If I were an alien, I be happy to go home. (Then again, where am I? And what am I? Could this be a dream?)

    mindrobots,
I was here on earth representing an advanced alien race. I had been recalled to my home planet.
    Interesting...
    Ok, so far, so good.
You mean, like, this is normal?:)

I often get the feeling I might as well be from an alien race. Not so sure about the "advanced" part though.

My quick, crude poem about dreaming. No similies, no alliteration, just a list and bad rhymes.

My favorite dreams are the ones where I fly.
But I get caught in power lines when I go up too high.
Nightmares are bad but they quickly pass.
Sad dreams are good ones that go by too fast.

Sometimes I've dreamed that I've lost my pants.
Embarrassed I stood there, my face in my hands.
Dreamed of lottery numbers that never will pay.
So I've learned to catch luck when it falls my way.

Used to dream of a girl who's love wouldn't fade.
Then my wife showed up and finally chased her away.
I Dream of old friends and my parents who passed.
Go fishing with Dad and find comfort at last.

Wow, Steve! Who needs similes and alliteration when you got heart and soul! At this rate, you'll be reading your poems at the next inauguration!!

It's amazing how some dreams can be so vivid and "real" and others are hard to remember, I have woken with a bump( no relation to anyone here ) or in a sweat and sometimes my heart has really been racing! Those nights though are usually the best sleep I've had and I feel totally refreshed.

There once was a man from Boston
That drove a shiny red Austin
He had room for one feller
    Who had a Propeller
    Whom he invited along
And now he is digitally enhanced.
