Been working on getting all the parts to fit in the battery box but no matter how I arranged them they were not going to fit.

List of item that needed a home.
(2) 17 Ah sealed batteries
(1) Eddie Control board
(1) Mini ITX motherboard
(1) CPU Power supply
( 1) 500GB Hd
A bunch of wires and connectors

I ended up making a clear panel on the outside of the battery box to mount the Eddie control board and the switches
for Master Power , CPU power and Motors enable.

After powering everything up on the bench I started to pack it into the Battery Box. Most of the wires are way to long and I will trim them and make a nice wiring harness.

I still have a lot of work to do so keep watching for updates.

And last my warning sticker.

Very nice. This is your wheelchair bot, right? Big enough to do some damage, you need ExDxV's target seeking ability: http://forums.parallax.com/showthread.php?118634-Autonomous-robot-s-navigation/page2

The motors are from a wheel chair. The Eddie Control Boars does not seem to have any issues powering it. I haven't put an amp meter on it yet but they draw around 1.5 amps, and the robot is not that heavy anyways.

Last major hardware issue is to interface the 10bit encoders and the Ping and IR sensors.

Finished the wiring harness for the switch panel. Cleaned up the excess wire in the box went for a drive using the Xbox wireless controller.

Moved the Kinect sensor to the top of the monitor but I don't think its going to be a good spot to use it for navigation.

Cover still don't fit. looking for some 90degree usb adapters and a monitor 90 degree plug.

Started on the Ping mounts for the front and back.

Neat. One of these days I need to try building a big bot like that. But it looks time intensive.

Finished the reward facing ping mount.

Having trouble fitting the cover on the robot because the Monitor and the USB cables are
facing upwards and are to tall for the cover to fit properly.
Went searching for right angle plug's couldn't find any so I just made my own.

Figured out the 2 forward facing Ping sensors. For now they are just taped on in back. But they will be flush mounted along with the IR senors.

Ordered the 3 IR sensors with cables from Parallax today. I asked for Parallax stickers too hope they don't forget to put them in the box!

Also I knew my Motherboard had 12 USB ports 6 on the back panel and 6 on the mother board in the form of 3x 10 pin headers
with 1 header supplying 2 ports. Found some 6 inch USB cables with pin header plugs on them 2.50 each.

The 6 USB to mother board headers arrived today. Was able to unplug all the plugs coming off the back and tuck them down into the box.

    And mount the cover.

Ir sensors arrived yesterday along with 5 stickers.

After this weekend I will change the paint scheme and figure out to incorporate the Parallax stickers / logo.

    Thanks.

Demonstrating my Robot at the NERP (Not exclusively Raspberry Pie) Meetup at Chicago's hacker-space Pumping Station One.

    http://pumpingstationone.org/

NERP provides a place for learning, discussing, and experimenting with the Raspberry Pi. Although our main focus is on using the Pi, other relevant topics include embedded devices, Open Source Hardware and Software, interfacing to the real world, development tools, circuits, and so on. Topics can be of general interest or advanced and highly focused. The NERP wiki lists many resources for learning and using the Pi.
