...I dunno. That Ebay "BS2P" carrier board is green, and an official BS2 is the only one that's green. And, Parallax doesn't list a BS2P as a product. They list BS2p24, BS2p40, BS2pe, and BS2px - and none of them are green (yellow, yellow/orange-ish, dark read, blue respectively).

    Hmmmmm...methinks something's afoot!

That looks like a BS2 to me as that's a PIC chip on it. I'm fairly sure all the other BS2 variants use the SX chip. The seller was probably confused.

If you look at the second photo in the listing it shows the bottom of the Stamp. It reads "BS2P-IC" with copyright 1997 Parallax, Inc. Since the seller said it was pulled from used equipment, it may be some very old variation of the BS2.

...yup - found the reverse pic and you're correct. My bad.

A batch of old BS2 Modules did have the BS2-P printed on the boards. These are older than 2005 for sure.

Chris, wasn't the BS2 officially introduced in 1995? I still have several BS2s that are marked on the bottom "(c) 1994 Parallax Inc. Rev C".
Also some that are marked like the ones on ebay,
    "(c) 1997 Parallax Inc. BS2P-IC Rev E".

A rare item, early prototypes of the BS2sx with the sx28 chip mounted on that same green BS2 circuit board. The BS2sx was "new" in the 1999 catalog.

I used a then-new BS2 in the Trinity Firefighting Robot Contest in April 1994.

Erco, early adopter! I dug in an old box and found a receipt for the first BS2 I bought in June 1994. I really got into it with Scott Edwards' DCPB, "data collection proto board", but I don't recall when that came out.
