Well, you didn't say which basic stamp you bought, but testing them is fairly simple. If you have an led, it's simple enough to blink the led, loads of samples also exist both in the bs manuals, and the various activity books, what's a microcontroller, and more, just go to the store, look at the stamp model you purchased, and at the bottom, there will be links for manuals and sometimes even sample programs. You should have no problem finding sample programs in any of those books, all of which are downloadable.
The web page to download all these books is at:

    hope this helps.

    Welcome to the forums.

A Dodge Charger, battery charger, horse or a large flat dish charger?

Thanks for the reply. I did not test yet, but I will do it after I read these informaion from the website.

I'm sorry to ask a kind of stupid question. Please which program is using by the Basic Stamp BS1? Since I am reading, I first thought that it was Basic programming language, then I thought again that it was Assembly language, and now the manual is listing another.

So, I am confused and this is the first work I am doing, using the basic stamp. Please, don't laught on me. I want to learn.
Please alse mention the software to use with that program.
    Regards.

All the Basic Stamps are programmed using a specialized version of BASIC called PBASIC, The BS1 uses PBASIC 1.0
The Basic Stamp Editor software supports all Basic Stamps and all versions of PBASIC are built in.

Here is where to go to download the Basic Stamp Editor software to program your BS1:

Choose the version that is compatible with your operating system.
