Pololu Motor & Servo controllers

Hello,
I am thinking of using the Pololu Simple Motor Controller and one of their Micro Maestro servo controller to control a whole bunch of servos and a DC motor for a new exhibit at our Museum. The exhibit involves flying a small RC plan in a wind tunnel with a big DC motor driven fan for wind source. I am using a BS2 as the brain for the system and prefer their servo controller because it can be configured with acceleration, angle limits, max/min speed etc, and the same with their motor controller. Otherwise, I usually use Parallax products.
Has anyone tried these boards and are there any examples out there for using them? Their website reference the BS everywhere with no examples posted. Their description of the serial interface seems very straightforward but before buying, I would like to see if anyone has experience with them.
many thanks,
Al
