28823 Download "Fear not"

I have the document that came with the 28823. On page 8 under the heading Download - Theory of Operation it states " Though the download button functions, the stamp program has not been written at this time to receive, store, and parse the data. Fear not, we will be posting that program to our website very soon". I have been looking for it. Is it time to fear, or is fear not still ''operative'?

If any one has the program, I would appreciate knowing where I can get a copy.

Thank you,
John Baughman

What is 28823? That product number does not come up on Parallax's website.

The 28823 is the predecessor of the 28830.

    John,

This document has some BS2 code in it:

The PC code (PSCI) for the 28830 should work on the earlier version also.

There is no "Download - Theory of Operation" in the documentation for the Parallax USB Servo Controller (#28823). Could you attach a copy of your documentation to a reply so we could see what you're referring to?

The download 'button' is a menu selection under 'Sequence' on the top line of the PC program. Thank you for your reference to the Basic code. It will be helpful, but what I am looking for is the 'download' capability where an animation sequence can be developed on the PC and sent to a BS2 for execution.

The page of the document I am referencing is attached.

    Thank you,
    John

    John,
If you are referring to this dialog box:

    PSCI Download.JPG

This was never implemented and the software never came out of beta.

We all hoped it would happen, but Parallax never finished it up.

Yes, that is the screen I am referencing.

Parallax is an excellent company so given what you've said, I am disappointed but not upset about it.

    Thank you,
    John
