Talkin' 'bout mystery bags... I got a mystery package from Junun Robotics last weekend. I hadn't ordered anything recently. Much to my surprise, inside were several of my beloved but discontinued Hamamatsu P5587 optical sensors. Incredibly handy for DIY wheel encoders, they interfaced directly and perfectly to a BS2 for my "Retrobot" odometry robot. IIRC, the fellow's name is Tim. I had previously bought these type of units from him, but they have been out of stock for several years. In an email exchange many months ago, he said he had some with bent or tarnished pins that he couldn't sell as new. So he just up & mailed them to me for free. I offered to pay and he said no, so I figured the least I could do would be to give him a shoutout. He has great prices (esp on those Sharp IR distance modules) and some unique parts & sensors on his website, so have a look. Lots of his parts & sensors can be easily used with Stamps & Props. Some of my favorite sensors are the 4-pin light sensors that output an coded signal to an IR LED (or laser) for use as a reflective sensor, such as:

And I love his 2mA 3mm LEDs: http://www.junun.org/MarkIII/Info.jsp?item=62
I've heard a few others say that shipping can be slow, but not from my experience. I'll keep ordering.
