Since Curiosity has landed on Mars I have been inspired to rebuild my large robot
I originally had it driving up and down the driveway with GPS but other than that it was no fun. And one reason was the stock wheel were no good when it ventured off my driveway and onto the grass.
So the new plan it to put new tires on it.
Tires are Harbor freight specials 3.99 on sale 3.5 wide and 10 inches tall.
The past few weeks have been spent machining 2 inch spacers to lift it, machining shaft and housing extensions
Right now I'm about 1/3 the way do but was able to assemble one of the wheels.
