Never seen one of these before today. Who says you can't learn something on Ebay?

A motor-driven "Wrist simulator" to keep your self-winding "luxury" watch wound up. It has "patented rotation patterns"!
Must be for those trifling, lazy rich guys who can afford those luxury watches but can't be bothered to move their wrists. Yet it seems that it may be more effort to R&R your watch, place it in the winder, and activate the thing.
This $100 "daily deal" is powered by an AC adapter from 120 VAC. That really seems like overkill since I bought 100 watch batteries off Ebay for $3.13 last week. I think those lazy spoiled rich guys have more dollars than sense.

All RIGHT!! Three down, four to go. Anyone?

Envy.
I want a $100 watch winder.
Might I suggest that gluttony could induce such a state of indolence and inertia that self-winding becomes well-nigh impossible?

Heck, I'd settle for a $100 watch. Back in the 70's, my older brother just had to have one of the very first Accutron tuning fork watches. It cost $300, but it made him happy.
However, there are people who are mechanical watch fans. Unfortunately they can only wear one watch at a time, and mechanical watches need to be maintained and run to continue working properly. So if you have any self winding watches in your collection you really need some way to keep it running when you are not wearing it.
That might be a good thing, some would consider it an opportunity waiting to be exploited:)

It breaks my heart to think of the Accutron my dear old dad gave me as a gift. It was forcefully torn off my wrist a year later by a ladr

The thieves reported in that link aren't pickpockets; they're just common thugs. Pickpockets, by contrast, are skilled craftsmen -- professional con men who can sweet-talk your clothing into divesting its assets without your even knowing it. Can I assume that you got to appreciate the talents of more experienced journeymen?
