The whole idea's stupid - you design an complex expensive tracking radar system but neglect to include a transmitter and hope someone else (an adversary even) will provide this component. Why take that risk? It's like going to film someone in their home with an expensive camera and hoping they happen to have studio lighting! Nice example of technology overtaking common-sense.

Really ! , I mean OLD NEWS ...... Hams have for decades done ARDF Thunting and that jazz. Heck at uWaves you can use a horn not a large yagi .
