PropPlug to Program OEM Basic Stamp

My last laptop had a COM port. After using it for 7 years good old days ended. At the moment I am in my boat at anchorage in western Turkish coast. What I have in hand is a PropPlug which I am using with propeller applications. What I am trying to do, I have modified Chris Savage's BS2 OEM "LITE" schematics published in Projects Forum (first schematic-OEM BS2.bmp) to use it with a PropPlug instead of USB2SER. Unfortunately without any success. It may be of course due to faulty circiutry although I have checked it several times over. I have used instead of 1N914 a BAT86 also a high speed switching diode again what I have in hand. I have checked the schematics for PropPlug and USB2SER ; They are almost the same but not exactly; pin 16 of FT232RQ is connected differently. What difference would that make, I dont know.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can easily use the PropPlug to program an OEM Stamp. A while back I wrote up a project using the OEM Stamp on an old SX protoboard and it uses the PropPlug for programming. You can see the project posted on the forum here:

Hope this helps,

Thank you for your reply Robert. I have checked your project but it does not include any schematics. I am including Chris Savages schematic revisedfor PropPlug that I have used. Would you care to comment.
