Thanks Cluso! This project was a lot of fun to put together. Once polish up the Kbus (Iso 9141) code, I'm going to add it to the obex, too.

I've been planning to do exactly this! I have an E46 that's two months too old to support the line-in connection on the back of the radio, so I figured I'd hack the LIN bus protocol and make an MP3 player that looks like a CD changer.

It would appear most of that's already been done. I have an A2DP module on order which I suspect I can easily combine with your code to get cell phone audio playback. Awesome!

@Circuitsoft - Same deal for me - I started it for line in, but figured all the other stuff you could do with it.

This looks like a cool project but I already have a QuickStart board and couldn't find a way to buy just the QuickProto board on the GG site. Can you point me to the page where this is sold by itself?

    Thanks,
    David

My other problem, at this moment, is that X01026 has three wires in my car, while it appears to have four in yours. Maybe the audio channels share a common ground on mine? Either way, the wire colors do not match the diagrams in my repair manual.

    Thanks OBC!

@circuitsoft - I'd bet you have common ground on the audio channels.

I wonder if the K-line interface could be done on a single pin with a single transistor.
