S2 action (sort of)

Ok anybody with a S2 load this and see what kind of action it performs. Do not worry it does not move. This is a modified Chip Gracey demo for the S2.

Edit:The atm9.spin has a small delay added before recording eliminating almost all of the beginning pop sound heard in s2a.spin

That little speaker has amazing range, it picks up soft voices from 30 feet away... Pretty cool :thumb::thumb:

You can decrease the bits constant by 1 or 2 to increase sample rate.

Wow, that's amazing! I was unaware that the propeller could sample audio that well with such little code. My daughter got a kick out of it.

Absolutely awesome, ratronic. I was curious about what it'd do so I grabbed my S2 right away. Without reading the other posts I had to fumble about for a minute until it became clear (very clear)!

    Great adaptation.

Thanks Ken, it is Chip's microphone_to_headphones.spin from the Propeller tool adapted to use S2's microphone/speaker and a large hub ram buffer for record/playback. I should point out that in the code I posted CTRB's mode I should have set to 00110_000 instead 00111_000 because the S2 isn't stereo like the Demoboard.

Sweet! That S2 could be a stealthy little spy with that sensitive microphone.

    Don't tell the bad guys!

I was experimenting with Phil's idea of using a RC controller for the S2 and tried to quite down the beginning pop heard on recordings to incorporate this to entertain the grandkids when the S2 is stopped . The top post has the

file atm9.spin which added a small delay before recording which seems to eliminate most if not all of the pop. Try this on your S2 it's not so hard on the ears.

Huge improvement! No pop! Great work!
I am inspired to dig deeper into assembly code.(looks simple enough...:innocent:) Thanks for sharing.
