Hi:

At this point, I have 2 questions:

1. motor setscrews - I tried to loosen the setscrews on one motor so I could put loctite on them. I found them to be very tight. The little allen wrench started to bend so I quit. Is it possible that that have already been "loctite-ed" at the factory.

2. soldering extensions on the motor wires - what kind of joint should I make? I would normally strip 1/2" off the big wire, strip 3/4" off the small wire and then wrap the small wire around the big wire before soldering. If I were to join them this way, I would cut the 12" extension wire 1/2" longer.

I would strip 5/8" off each wire, tin the wires then join them by overlapping and soldering. If necessary, wrap a single strand of wire around the two to hold them in place while soldering.

As far as the set screws, I think if they are that difficult to remove they are best left alone.
