Hello all,

I have a motor mount and wheel kit wich i would like to use to motorize a wheel based small work table with drawers i have laying around
as a fun project .
I was wondering what the maximum supported weight would be for a pair of parallax motor wheels and wheel casters, i cannot seem to find this info in the specs.
My table weighs currently about 30 Kg empty,

Thanks for any response

You can easily pull 100 lbs or more. It really depends on the battery current. If you have a nice large lead acid battery with can source a lot of amps you'll be fine.

If i understand correctly you mean the force available, needed, to move the object.
What about the amount of dead weight supported by a wheel or wheel caster ?

I have a 75 lb robot based upon the Eddie platform. The drive wheels can easily support the weight but not the casters. The week point is the semi-pneumatic tires on the casters - they squish too much under a load. I picked up some heavier duty casters from Harbor Freight and they work fine.

Thanks very much, thats what i wanted to know and afraid of, my table is already about 67 lb empty, so i guess when a few stuff is added in the drawers plus a lead battery i'll quickly go above 100 lb wich is IMO to much , even for the parallax wheels.
If any one can point me to a online shop for stronger , preferrably 12V motors with wheels and casters , who ship international.
Well, casters i can eventually find in my local hardware store i guess.

I think the Parallax motors are plenty strong enough, it's only the casters than cannot support so much weight.

For an indoor robot the Parallax motors will heave plenty of power to move well over 100 lbs. If you need to go up ramps or over rough terrain with that much weight then I would look into wheelchair motors.
