I can't tell you how cool this is ....


I mean the power systems in that train makes any Power EE salivate.
From what I read . they uppped teh Cat voltage ..p=I*V .

Now to have that speed safe for us normal people. Makes the Acela loook ike a steam loco. WoW!

I am wonderong what you all think of this record run ?

    I feel sorry for any french cows on the track.

    I never realized it was a pantograph system conducting the power to the train. That's pretty cool too!

    On the Cat the contact wire Zig Zags to prevent spot wear .


    we need those here .... but on new track ..... imagine wash state to LA in 12Hours .

    BUT I have a FRYS 7 blocks from the new school I'am going to in 4 weeks so Ill do ok .

    Is it me, or did the three guys in the front train engine, seem a bit uneasy? ... Especially the guy in the middle.

    He was afraid to blink. That was probably his boss and the company president in the cab with him. Yeah, he seemed a bit uneasy.
