SX/B and unused pins

It's been awhile since I've used SX/B, and I thought that the unused pins were left in a "safe" state, but looking at the List file of my code I see that they're configured as inputs without pull-ups enabled. Can someone confirm this?

    Virtually all MCUs power up with pins configured as inputs. Microchip who makes the PIC that the SX chips were based on recommends that unused pins are configured as outputs and driven low.

    And that's what I thought the default setting was for unused pins after using SX/B.
