Thanks. I paid about $35 for a wall wart that I bought from a hobby shop.

I just use a 13.5volt 500ma wall wart. It seems to work well with 8AH gel cells and can be left on. I paid about $150NTD or $5USD.

The fact that is is one 500ma provides a limited charge rate. One can make their own lesser charge rate with a LM317 uses as a current limiter. Not sure you need a relay cut off as the fully charged cell should offset the 13.50volts.

But at $6USD, it is a good price and a safe unit to charge while away.
