These $11 MP3 player modules look interesting. If it's FM stereo, this plus an amp could almost suffice for a car stereo! Or I might build one into my man cave's wall just for fun.

If I can find a way to weatherproof the slots (waterproof case?), I could build it into the dash of my garden tractor. Right over the 2 cylinder engine should be a great noise test for them!
