Hello Paralaxians!

Anyone that is interested in helping form or just participating in a local chapter of CocoaHeads in the Charlotte, NC metro area, let me know.

CocoaHeads is a group devoted to discussion of Apple Computer's Cocoa Framework for programming on MacOS X (including the iPhone). During monthly meetings, members present on their projects and offer tutorials on various programming topics.

I hope to find enough local interest to get a viable group going since the nearest established chapters are in Greenville, SC or Raleigh, NC. These are both to far to be involved with on a regular basis (for me anyway).

If you are interested, reply here or email me directly at doc 'at' tcah 'dot' com. Also, I have formed a FaceBook Group to help spearhead the effort. There is also an 'old school' mailing list that I have signed up for an put out an initial mailing to gather interested people.

It is my intention for this chapter to be open to all, from complete n00bs to seasoned professionals, to help share knowledge.

Thank you,
Paul

Sorry, don't want to get trapped in Apple's walled garden or any other non-cross platform software.

    Paul,

I'm a tad bit too far north to directly be involved, but I would like to keep up on how it goes.

I haven't done much of anything apple related since the Apple II back in the early 80's and a Modula II course in college that used a Mac emulator running on sparc stations...

I do have some clients that are wanting to jump on the mobile app bandwagon, so I do need to start heading that direction.

Currently I'm focusing on HTML5 and Javascript since that lets me make cross platform browser centric "apps".

    Thanks,

    Chris Wardell

Thanks for responding Chris. Yeah, OH is a bit too far north. :D

I got my start in the 80's on an Apple II as well. Ah the good old days!
