Unicode and the Propeller

I see GCC intends to process UTF-8 and am wondering if that means that the Propeller will be able to support a terminal interface in Chinese or Arabic or Hebrew or Cyrillic alphabet.
At this point, I presume code would still be written in ASCII, but menus and responses could fit any international language one requires.
