I'm looking for a kit that includes everything I need for a dual propeller setup. Does such a thing exist? I also hope it doesn't require surface mount soldering.

thanks!!!!

Look at the tetra-prop kit from microsource. The SMT devices are mounted, all you need to do is shorten the crystal leads and plug them in and also solder in any of the IO headers supplied with it. I ended up getting one from another forum member on the sale page, so it was already assembled. Just because they may be all there doesn't mean they must be used. The other two could be used as backups in case the magic smoke gets let out while working with one or two. It is a nicely laid out board. The headers appear to line up w/ the GG usb proto board, though, I don't recommend that for more than the simplest development. Better to use a good sized breadboard (4strip or better) as the protoboard is just to inflexible for much/many IC packages.

Tetra-prop on top of Propeller Platform

Slave Prop on QuickStart Proto Board

    Breadboarding multiple Propellers

The basic support circuitry for the Prop is rather simple and can be wired on a protoboard or breadboard for experimenting. The tetra-prop is also a great board to multi-prop with.

As you may have noticed, PropForth and multiple Propellers go together very well

I have a number of pcb modules. Currently all are smt but come assembled. You can stack vertically or horizontally, etc. They start at 1"square. See my signaturre for website which links to forum discussions.
