hi,
today i make tests with my GPS_PMB-648.
on my C3
device connected (yellow-wire to P07 and +5v and Gnd)
on gps first redLed blink, then steady...

1. test:
with !GPS_Propeller.spin: output on pst: longitude and latitude OK

2. Test with GPS_Str_NMEA_Lite.spin
- same P07 and yellow wire
- on pst-terminal == no output
- test fail

the same happened with GPS_Str_NMEA.spin

with the GPSDriver_Demo.spin: on pst-terminal on one line 00000....0000 slow

questions:

- is NMEA possible with only the yellow-wire (P07 or P06) ??
- have somebody the names of the blue, and white wire
- or is tx and rx needed ??
- what's the best baudrate for pst ???

i don't know what i should do now
have somebody hints, tricks and help for me?
thanks
regards nomad

I have included a link to our Kick Start connections page. There we have wiring diagrams and example code for you to test your devices with. I included the link to the PB-648's page. If you have any further questions after you visit this page, please let me know!

    hi nick,
    thanks for your answer,
    in the meantime
    - 1) i can run the Spin-program GPS-Propeller.zip
    All values are okL
    - 2) I know now that GPS-Str-NMEA-(lite).spin are Drivers and not Demos,
    excuse me
    - 3) yesterday i found in this forum some Programms for reading NMEA-strings (in the year 2010)
included in the parallaxBook about Propeller (chapter 09)

if i have troubles in the future ;-) i make a post.
    thanks
    regards nomad
