Tim Moore's combo driver and Logitech mouse - incompatible?

I tried this driver:

http://obex.parallax.com/objects/339/

It worked until I connected a Logitech mouse. Then it didn't detect this mouse.
I connected another mouse, Logitech too, and it was also not detected.

Connected another mouse. This time not a Logitech one. Detected.

Is it known incompatibility? What can be wrong with Logitech mouses and this driver?

The Propeller mouse drivers are based on a generic mouse definition like this one. It may be that Logitech doesn't adhere to the generic definition. Often the manufacturer would provide a mouse driver that would detect their kind of mouse and override the generic mouse driver provided with the OS. The article mentioned, for example, talks about Microsoft's Intellimouse protocol which is incompatible with a standard PS/2 mouse yet plugs into a standard PS/2 mouse jack.

I'm sure the mouse drivers haven't been tested with a variety of them. You might add a comment to the OBEX entry that advises that it doesn't seem to be compatible with Logitech products. I suspect that the other Propeller mouse drivers won't work either.

Kye's combo driver works with these mouses. Didn't test Chip's driver.

I still suggest you make a comment on the OBEX page for Tim Moore's object. After a week or so, your message in this forum will effectively disappear. A comment on the OBEX page for the object will likely be visible for a long time and will be of much more use to people.

I added a comment for you as a review, referencing this thread. I don't understand why your comment didn't appear unless it has to be cleared by someone at Parallax first.
