electrical related phone problems.....

So I got a phone a couple weeks ago. It is an lg runs andriod all that jazz....
But the problem is is I use a samsung charger and it is very tempermental. It does charge it, but recently has been making a high pitched bzz and not charging it. Could someone please explain a possible cause to this power supply problem?

    What happened to the LG charger?
    Are you sure they are compatible voltage wise?

    Sounds defective. The easiest thing to do is to go immediately back to the vendor and request a swap of the charger, and maybe the battery and the cell phone.

    Those are both great suggestions and thanks for your help. I'm not sure where the lg charger went, but the voltage is rated the the same and it has been charging it until yesterday.

    The buzz could be serious as it may be based on the 60 or 50 cycle AC. It might be a bad transformer or a self-destructing filter capacitor. Get THEE to your vendor's service department - post haste.

    Something very well could be in a failure mode that might end in sparks and smoke.

    Thank you for the help!!!! The charger is now unpluged and ready for checkup!
