    Hmmm interesting....heres my question does it get all it's "intelligence" directly over BT from the phone....such as what to display and how to display it.....or are the graphics and libraries pre-programmed and hardcoded. If not and everything is controlled over BT pair this is a Prop and we have a freakin winner!

    Nice to see this baby "out in the light"; I was part of the four man team developing it in 2010.
    To test the OLED display I coded some C64 style demo effects. (sinus scroller and flashing colors)

    @Ahle2,

    Interesting! With your "insider knowledge", would this be a good peripheral for a Propeller or is it too tightly dependent on the phone to do anything useful?

    Thanks!

    Yes I was involved with it.... but just for the last 2 months of development.
    And to be honest I can't say anything about the internal working because I put my name on a written agreement to NOT do that.
    But I can tell you that a Propeller is way more powerful than the main CPU (yes there is another one). Sadly the Propeller draws way to much current for an application like this.
    The last months of development was ALL about getting it to run as long as possible on a single charge. The CPU spends A LOT of time sleeping when possible.

    Fair enough. We don't want anyone to violate any NDAs.

    For $20 it might be worth a try to see what it can (or can't do).

    Thanks!

    I ordered one so I'll pull it apart and see what makes it tick.

    @wjsteele -- did you find anything out? I'd definitely be interested in the capability of pushing content to a little screen wirelessly.

    Thanks,
    Scott
