Ping))) LED program and circuitry

Hello everyone. I'm am interested in making a small simple program to make an LED blink when an object is within a foot of the Ping))) sensor. Also during the program I would like the ping))) sensor to scan around the room. Please reply quickly summer vacation only lasts 2 months.:smile:

    Have you looked at the code on the ping store page and have you tried to write some code? the code for measuring distance is where you start and then you can set a limit where the led will light.

    What Microcontroller are you going to use? (BASIC Stamp, Propeller, PIC, Arduino, etc) You should be able to find PING examples for all of those. Parallax sells the PING along with a servo mount for panning that would make your project very easy to do.

    I am using the Basic Stamp 2. The reason I don't write it myself is because i will use this program to understand the Ping))) sensor with servo

    I also already have the ping))) sensor with Servo+bracket. I cannot open PDF's so please post so i can copy and paste.

    There are lots of free PDF viewers available online so you should be able to find one that works for you. That format is so common that you'll probably want to be able to open and view those documents.
