When Will 3D Printing Justify Its Own Forum?

3D printing is probably a subset of "Robotics" but I anticipate at some point in the future, this facet of technology will deserve its own dedicated forum.
Maybe 3D printing and CNC machines could share a forum - they're first cousins, after all.
Thanks,
Brad

In fact, when considering the superb example of the ELEV-8, I'm really curious why Parallax hasn't generated their own 3D printer kits.
Thanks,
Brad

Go print up a juicy plum.
Could you, would you use a full spectrum,
It would be most delightful to this Bum(p).
The results might be quite winsome;
You could show it to Phil Pilgrim
Could you, would you with your quorum,
Make a 3D printer's post in the builder's forum?
All whimsy aside, you could totally rock that in the builder's forum
Iit might be worth changing the description of the Builder's forum. It currently reads
"For topics including machining, fabrication, assembly, or whatever processes we need to use to make our projects and products."
While I'm sure that's technically accurate, it's hardly likely to pique the interest of visitors engaged in Quadcopters and/or 3D printers. With the exception of Elev-8, posts seem to get lost to the Prop and/or general discussion forums, or that almost secret 3d printing community group which is marginally easier to stumble across than the display department in hitch hikers guide to the galaxy
It may be better to incorporate them exciting buzzwords to get that forum ticking along.
"Quadcopters. Elev-8. 3D Printers. CNC machining. Tools, Fabrication and Assembly techniques and advice" ?? maybe
