Problem with MINDSi

Hi All,
Does anyone here have any experience with MINDS-i?
Well, I appear to be having a problem with MINDS-i. I placed my order on Wed May 23rd and my order still has not shipped as of today! Their customer support said that most orders take 2-3 days to ship and that they would try and get my order out by last Friday, but no joy. It looks like they may not have the items I purchased on the shelf for quick delivery.
Regards,
TCIII

    They're a band and have a new album "Train Wreck."

    I suppose Tom might have meant this robot website instead of the band.

    @Leon,
    Yes, it is MINDS-i the robotics manufacturer and not the rock band. Sorry for the confusion.

    MINDS-i is a new Robotics platform. Similar to Legos MINDS-i takes a new patented basic locking connector and beams and builds full robotic platform that allows even children to build durable and complex Robots. Check out this YouTube video of a local competition based on the MINDS-i system.

    Tom,

    Are you sure they didn't mean this Friday? MINDS-i is just a small company, but they usually ship product a few days after orders are placed. I'm sorry to hear about the delay.

    Hi Tim,

    I originally placed my order on May 23rd of last week. Levi said that he would try to get it out last Friday before the holiday, but was overcome by events which is acceptable. However he said in an email to me that he would ship my order yesterday, May 30th, but still no joy and no explanation as to why it did not ship. I have emailed Levi today to determine when he does plan to ship my order so I can plan ahead on my project that uses their products. It seems that I have had to constantly email Levi concerning the status of my order.

    Tom,

    Project with MINDS-i? You have got to tell me more about this! Are you going to post a forum post about it? I'd love to hear more about your project, idea, and process. Make sure you share it!

    thanks,

    Tim

    @tlines,
    My project is really nothing special. I am building a rover for the Robomagellan Challenge using the MINDS-i Arduino Shield kit, a DIY Drones APM1, and a modified Traxxas E-Maxx chassis. The Arduino UNO will provide obstacle detection and avoidance while taking steering commands to waypoints from the APM1. The final part of the project will involve adding a visual sensor to locate the target cone at each waypoint. You can see the DIY Drones Ardurover project at: http://www.diydrones.com/profiles/blogs/apmrover-1280-a-fun-ugv-project-for-in-full-autonomous-reco
    The DIY Drones Ardurover project did not use any type of obstacle detection and only recently began using the APM1 onboard sonar function which I feel is not adequate enough for robust obstacle detection and avoidance. Hence the use of the Arduino UNO/Shield kit from MINDS-i using the PING and IR sensors. MINDS-i finally shipped my order on Thursday May 31st.
