Hi,

I want to use the stamp with a Mac.

For windows it is very easy because the USB drivers come with the editor
but I do not what I need to do with a MAC.

Do you know if the MAC editor has the USB drivers?

Thanks,

There are problems with the 3rd party Mac Stamp Editor that are not of the author's doing. The Stamp Editor consists of two parts ... the editor itself and the compiler / downloader, called the Stamp Tokenizer which is provided by Parallax. The Tokenizer is currently compiled for older MacOS versions and will not run under Snow Leopard or future MacOS versions. It is in the process of being updated by Parallax and, when ready, the Mac Stamp Editor's author (Murat Konar) will package it all up and release an updated version. There is no promised date. The FTDI USB drivers are available from FTDI's website. Look for the Mac VCP driver.

It's still possible to use the stamp editor on osx, as long as you have tiger, leopard, or snow leopard. ( think snowleopard still works) The driver claims it has bugs, but Ive had no problems using it to compile and download programs to my usb basic stamp.
I'm running an old ppc mac mini using tiger (osx 10.4) for this work, and thus far, have had no issues making things operate properly.
The problem is, the external library parallax provided is ppc only, and lion+ won't run ppc programs even in rosetta, so those folks are out of luck.
I still need to use windows when working with the propeller, but my mac mini works just fine for downloading and executing code on the bs2 I have here.
    hth.
