Robotics with the Boe-Bot

My classmates and I are trying to combine whiskers with infra-red sensors to allow our boe-bot to navigate freely using the IR sensors but also be able to navigate using the whiskers if at any point in time the boe-bot bumps into something. We're having some trouble doing so. :blank:We believe it may have something to do with our coding. Any suggestions on how we can program our boe-bot to respond accordingly?     We can't really answer questions about your code without seeing it. If you're looking for suggestions, you'll have to discuss what you've tried already and we'll be happy to join in the discussion. The "Robotics with the BoeBot" tutorial discusses a number of techniques for using the IR sensors and the whiskers for object avoidance. What have you learned and tried so far?
