Have you tried the code samples here http://www.parallax.com/StoreSearchResults/tabid/768/txtSearch/PMB-648/List/0/SortField/4/ProductID/644/Default.aspx if that does not work you will need to explain what you have done, how you have it connected and why you know it is not working. Remember you need to be outside and under an unobstructed sky for it to work well.

    You might also look here:

    http://learn.parallax.com/KickStart/28500

Easy to use example code for the BASIC Stamp 2, Propeller, and Arduino.

On your specific problem, it's more useful for you to provide as much information as you can right off, rather than have everyone ask Twenty Questions.

I'm having an issue as well with the same setup.

I'm using an arduino uno, PMB-648 setup just like is shown here: http://learn.parallax.com/kickstart/28500

The gps unit will blink red and then go solid when I assume it gets a gps fix. The arduino is powered and connected via USB to my imac. When I open the serial monitor (Arduinio IDE 1.0) It just populates with garbage:

    ¼ÿ€þ€þÿþýÿüÿˆûÆåŒû€üVê+þ‹þˆýÿþýÿÿÿÖòþþÿûþ¢üþþûÿüÆúëþýùþÿVëýüÿúÿHîüýÿþþÖúXþÿüüÿÿÿþýÿþÿÖò‹üŒýIÿþÿþþùÿñüþøÿÿü‹þþüûþþVúÿþùþþVúùÿùÿ¢üÖúþùÿúýùþÿÿüÖòIúXî¢üüýÿýÿþýÿÿþþüÿþþ€ü€üXîVúþÿýüÆòüÿþþüÖúŒúVúˆúüøÿÿýÿþÿÿÿÿýÿüŒüVêë€þVê€þ„þ¢þþÿýü€þþÿýÿÿ€þþÿþþþþŒüîüÿÿÿýŒüüþÿÿýIúüþÿþùÿÖúþüùþþþøÿý

    Any Ideas?

Found the problem - just needed to change the baud rate on the serial monitor to 115200.
