PropellerC3 + newest-usbDriver - Downloads

hi,
today i have the Propeller-C3 in my hands
on the package is write:
" STOP INSTALL SOFTWARE FIRST
before you plug in
your hardware (C3)
download and install USB VCP drivers from
www.parallax.com/usbdrivers
"
now my little question:
- on my win7-laptop
- i have the Propeller-Tools included the nessecary usb-driver
- my Propeller-Proto-Board is running with the usb-drive on my laptop

now must i download and install the newest usb-driver for my new PropellerC3 ??
or can i make this with the installed usb-driver ??

in the meantime i make only the download on Win7

The C3 uses the same FTDI chip as other Propeller boards so, if you have the Propeller Tool working with another USB Propeller board, it will work with the C3 as well.

Use the usb ports on the right hand side of the laptop : D

Turbosupra's comment refers to the fact that some laptops have USB 3.0 ports on one side of the laptop and USB 2.0 ports on the other side for some reason and there's a problem with FTDI's driver and USB 3.0 ports. Again, there's no difference between the C3 and other USB Propeller boards as far as the USB port is concerned.

about USB 3.0 - port:
my laptops are from 2010/2011, i think they have'nt USB-3.0 ports
