No discovery is any good without a silly video though.

It's using a light sensor right by the track you can see it. The amplified speaker was removed from a Dell Optiplex.

    xanadu stop playing with the boe-bot and that cheap speaker and get that dock done lol. Hows that coming?

    I got the solar panel down off the roof. Decided to just put it on the robot. Then decided it was too big and heavy. Then thought I'd just make the robot plug into standard wall outlets. Then decided I really want the thing to be solar powered and my panel doesn't tie into any outlets. So today I picked up a 12v accessory socket like W9GFO had suggested.

    Now I need the green area. It doesn't take much force to plug them in, and on the robot I can put a door over the connector to make it so I don't have to worry about relays anymore.

    Wow bro your indecisive! Let me know how that design goes..if it's easy to use and fool-proof I may adopt it into a few designs myself.
