Went to the local store here and they weren't on clearance. About $2 each in a package of 16. Nice boxes though....

They where loose laying in a big 5Liter box, with bunch of assorted colors. There was also a 0.2L (less tall) for 50cents.
You could try to price match with a receipt.

@mindrobots, do me a favor.. If you find them at these kinds of prices around your area, leave me a few and let me know! :)
(I'll do the same on the Wooster end)

According to their price matching policy, they won't match a clearance price - even from another Staples.

I tend to keep 1000-1200 LED's in stock for my projects, (100 of assorted colors), and these boxes have been invaluable. I bought the last dozen .14 liter boxes at Staples a few months ago for 25 cents a piece, (on clearance). They hold 100 LED's with room to spare.

May have to go to Amazon and buy some more.

Wal-mart sells some very similar (stacking with latching top) plastic storage boxes. They come in several sizes. While not quite as cheap, they're still a pretty good deal. I think the last time I looked the smallest one was 99 cents.

Maybe It's a Florida thing, if you do find them for $1.99 each (not the 16pack) scan them to see if the come up 50 cents.
And Staples Clearance shelf always have some good deals if you just want to stop by and shop anyway, i got 500 coffee filters for 50 cents etc.

I Stopped by North Miami Staples. picked up 18 clear 0.3L and 15 clear 0.2L (shallow) boxes
The 0.2L scanned 50cent, the 0.3L scanned 1.99 but manager priced matched my receipt.

I will included a free box with the purchase of my product: 17led PPDB, 1watt quickstart speaker, solid state relay.......wait for announcement.
