That's all I have found so far.

Doesn't work in what way? Is it a problem physically plugging in the card or does it seem to be a software problem? Do you have another card that IS working so you can say for certain that the problem is specifically with the Gigaware card? If you have another 4GB MicroSDHC card that is working then it would be fair to say that the Gigaware card may not be compatible. Otherwise we don't know if it is just a SW setting or something else that is preventing the card from working ok.

It would also be good to know which driver you are using- Kye's FAT16 or FSRW. I have found on some cards that FSRW will work when Kye's won't. My cards were Sandisk 2GB uSD.

Have you tried reformatting the card?

I don't have any SD cards (and I have a lot) that don't work with the Propeller. I have had several that needed to be reformatted (the slow way) before they would work.

I usually use Kye's SD driver.

Here's a link to the recommended SD card formatter- https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/

As Duane mentioned don't use the "Quick" method.

In addition to noting what SD driver you're using, to be truly useful, you really need to plug the card into a PC to see if it can be read there. Verify its formatting. Copy a file, then try reading the file. Sometimes these things come unformatted, or (because they can be from various sources, i.e. they can be "surplus") formatted for a specific camera or other device. Once I got a couple of cards formatted for the Mac (not FAT)!

Okay..... I thought you guys had taught me well enough that you could take for granted that I ran all the tests. It was formated at 16 and at 32 at slow speed meaning that I did not use quick format. The card fits nicely in the Props SD adapter. Neither Keys, nor the one you sent me gordon, would work It works fine in the PC. I made a complete backup of my Parallax directory which includes the Bs2 and the Prop. I then backed up 1.2 gig of music files and they worked just fine. Pluged it back in and none of the drivers, that you good folks gave me, would read it. Took it out and reformated it a second time at 16 and 32 (and yes I am talking about the FAT). Pluged it back in and neither of the drivers would read the card. I then pluged in my SanDisk and everything worked normally including the Keys driver. All worked without any issues. Wrote a small script to the card. Took it out and saw the file reading it through my computer. Put my SanDisk back in and everything works great. The Prop will not read that card.

I don't think we take too much for granted from anyone since even people who use these all the time can overlook something. I seem to recall there were certain versions of the SD card drivers that worked better than others. There may be older versions floating around out there and I believe that is why the question was asked what version specifically (version, date, etc) in case you should be using a newer version that perhaps has a bug fix. It's been a while since I've looked for the latest SD drivers myself but I do plan on it since I want to use them in an upcoming project.

Thanks for the clarification. I think it's important to make note of the particulars of the card, and it's always good to verify (and note) the formatting.

I' ve heard the Gigaware product is rebranded for RadioShack, and that they are actually SanDisc. I've used 4GB SanDiscs in the PropBOE, so either these are different cards internally. RS does not list what class these cards belong to. That's important for SDHC cards. If you buy an HC card and it doesn't list its class, best pass on it. Best Buy online does not list the card you mention, either by part, SKU, or brand.

Well the place of purchase might have been Radio Shack. My procurement officer just knows that she got it. If you need me to send it to you I'd be more than happy to. It's worthless to me if she doesn't know where to return it to. It was sittin in her desk drawer for who knows how long.

Confirmation that the card did come from Radio Shack. Just bought a SanDisk 8 gig and the Gigaware chips were displayed right next to them. There's a $10.00 bet I have to pay off......and on my birthday too! :-(
