Tilt / angle indicator

Hi everyone, problem that I am facing is as follow: I have rotator for my ham radio antenna. I want controll it's position from my computer. Idid it with compass module placed under antenna used BS2 to get data from it, plus Perl software. Worked great but compass burned when I transmitted high power. So now I want to use position of arrow on rotator controll as indicator for antenna direction ( It has display with arroe that move 360 degree). So I am looking for tilt/angle indicator that will tell me the angle on vertical display. I have 4 directional tilt sensor, but that is not accurate. Any idea which I can use I need 360 degree angle.

As long as the arrow is mounted more-or-less vertically, a 2-axis accelerometer should accommodate your needs. Here's one that parallax sells:

Thanks for idea, I se that I can get 2125 from RadioShack, will try tomorrow, but does it give me full 360 deg angle or only 180 deg?? If only 180 I guess I can get two and put one for 1 - 180 and second 180 - 360. Hmm, will see

It will give you plus and minus coordinates in both X and Y axes, so it will cover a full 360 degrees by means of a four-quadrant arctangent. If your dial is sloped away from the vertical, however, the math becomes a little more complicated.
