Uusb development board?

Hi,
Could someone explain why the usb version of the stamp professional development
board was discontinued. It doesent even appear in the 'discontinued' tab. The reason
I ask, is that I have two of these, both of which work ok.

    I can't tell you for certain, but this sort of question has come up many times before. There's not a lot of difference functionally between a USB PDB and a Serial PDB plus USB to Serial Adapter and the Serial combination is more universal. It's expensive to manufacture and stock two similar products and, if the demand for the USB-only product decreases, at some point it makes sense to discontinue it. If it's been discontinued long enough, it drops from the catalog including the on-line store. There's nothing wrong with the USB PDB. Have fun with it.
