Measurement Computing, a maker of high-end data acquistion hw/sw has put up an e-book on the subject. I took a quick browse through and it's chock-full of interesting tidbits.

    Another great resource is Keithley low level measurement.
    From google it looks still available, while on the web site not.

    Keithley...yup...I've downloaded a number of their e-books. They come in handy since I'm in a similar industry for the day-job.
