opinion on H-bridge chip
i see this one is on my arduino motor shield.
here is a link to the beefy version of the chip

it seems pretty good and unlike the transistor H-bridge I have on my big robots this has no risk of shorting power to ground.
what i wonder though is if any of you know a cheaper chip that will get the gob done?
I need at least 1.5 amps preferably 2.
I am updating an old robot of mine to use a prop instead of the old 6502 SBC I used

I like the chip myself. I'm using them in this project.
Don't forget to get some Schottky diodes (you need eight per chip).
unfortunate though I already have an order ready for mouser and shipping will kill the savings unless sparkfun has good shipping prices.
SparkFun will ship small orders USPS if you request it.
