IN-TENTS, lol. The rain was not too bad but the hail sucked. A side note, the HJ here in Rocklin has a broken hot tub. I wish I would have known that before I made my reservation. Go Parallax!
"Gee Boss. We have Big Tents - don't worry about the rain, this is not a parade...besides, a little water on energized electronic circuits doesn't affect them very much anyway, does it?"
"Come on Matt, make the rain go away! Considering all the stuff you can do, why can't you make this crazy rain stop? It hasn't rained like this in California in years! And also, even though you're a CONtractor I don't want us to be shocking 18 kids at a time Friday morning in two batches - one set at soldering stations and another set at laptop robot programming stations!"
In all seriousness, there's a major amount of infrastructure outside right now - five 20x30 tents ready to be loaded with decades of projects, hundreds of demos, lots of computers, big TVs looping videos of Jessica showing kids how to solder. . .food trucks are rolling in on Friday with names like the "Wicked Witch" and "Taco Train". Important people from Digi, Microsoft, PanaVise, SchmartBoard are coming in with a few dozen foreign guests from Germany, Korea, Japan, South America, England.
But the show goes on and that's why we have the tents. I didn't hear a single Parallaxian think that we should move things around today. Instead, they want to meet at Starbucks at 6:30 am and get the place ready at 7:00 am!
I suppose it is better than the tornado threatening Stockton. About the only thing CNN is really good at these days is weather reports. Regardless of the weather, I wish I could attend, but Taiwan is a bit far away. And it should be fun -- after all this isn't a baseball game.
The shame of it is that it's been somewhat dry and this is the best storm that we've had all winter. We really can use the rain, but why on this weekend?

P.S. I like to fly RC float planes at Hogan Lake which is south west of Sacramento and is fed from the Sierras. So to me all this rain is a double edge sward.
You never know in California. Tomorrow may be beautiful. Regardless, you can fly a Quad indoors. Just show up and plan to enjoy the people. If it is rainy, you'll probably get to meet more people. They can't wander off.
