A bunch of you are wrapping up your presentations this week. For the most part, our presenters will go as we have in past expos.
1) Expo presenters will have 20mins with a 5min warning and 5min grace.
2) There will be both VGA and composite hook ups for you to use to present.
3) If you are demonstrating a project which your organization sells, that's fine, but it can't be a sales pitch. Show us an awesome project which are doing with the item instead. (I promise you will sell more of them.)
4) All presenters (you have emailed me already, so I know you are) need to meet with me early Friday morning and we'll setup times. You must be present at that meeting to insure your presentations spot if at all possible.)
5) Presentations should include Propeller based/themed items, but because this is also PEXPO we'll be very lenient.
As always, you do NOT have to be a professional speaker!! Share what excites you about your project!
Any questions, please email me or post them here.
Thanks!

Meet with us Friday morning. We'll make time.

Nothing that we have planned at present.. (Although it's been discussed several times, so in the future... who knows.)
There is NOTHING stopping any diehard Propellerhead from creating a show on your side of the pond. I'm just a guy who thought it would be cool if 20-30 propellerheads got together and shared their stuff.. There's no magic involved in doing this. I just create a long list and work my way down to the expo.
OBC
Maybe I will have a try. Not sure if there are many Prop users here. Any who would be interested in a gathering (south of Manchester - England) might like to PM me...
Cheers
Richard
Haven't paid attention until now... Are presentations being handled differently this time?
Last times it was first come-first serve on a white board... Are we supposed to sign up now?
What day are the presentations? I was thinking the Propeller part of the Expo was just Saturday...
There was a call for speakers?
I need to do a presentation on Propeller-GCC and SimpleIDE.
Most speakers will be presenting Friday. All speakers need to meet with me Friday morning so we can determine who arrived, is actually ready, and coordinate our times.
OBC
Please specify a time and place Friday morning.
Thanks.

I've emailed a bunch of you to point you in the direction of this thread for some final guidelines as you are wrapping up your presentations.
I'll ask you to be flexible, as we'll set the time schedule early Friday morning at the show, but those "expo gremlins" will attend with us and throw the times out of whack! If you want to post a status update on your presentation here, feel free to do so, and be "heads-up" Friday morning as I try to locate you to establish the times.

The topic is a design contest for medical training devices, run between Parallax, the US Army's www.tatrc.org and Carnegie Mellon University. Propeller users will want to participate in this one for many reasons.
Thanks,

The first presenter who posts to this thread agreeing to take the "ice breaker" presentation will receive a small prize from GG

.
I am working on something that is "impossible" for the propeller to do.. assuming I get it working in time, it might make for a decent talk
p.s.
I PM'd Matt 3 weeks ago (I thought he was arranging tables)... I need a table. I am bringing less stuff this year, probably only 1 new board, so I have more time to catch up with y'all!
We'll have two tables reserved to display projects. If you would like your own table and marketing hasn't heard from you yet, please email me right away and let me know. This morning we need to confirm the number of tables with the company we are ordering them from. Bill, I'll check with Emily Kurze (she's in charge of vendors) to make sure she has a table for you. We're looking forward to seeing all of you at the expo!
Thanks,
Lauren

Hi Jim,
There will be a video feed the entire time both days. The link will be http://parallax.adobeconnect.com/expo2012.
Lauren
There is an adobe connect link that will be live during the show hours Friday 10am-7pm PST and Saturday 9am-5pm PST. Please visit http://www.parallax.com/expo for more info on the live feed link and the event itself.
Jim
Thanks Emily, and welcome to the family!
Those times are great for us on the East coast, not like some webinars that went passed midnight here.
Jim
I sent an email. I'd like to request 4 feet of table space to display my project. If this isn't possible then could we bring our own table?
Thanks
Yes, we can accomodate. Thanks for letting us know. We will have the space and table available for you.
Lauren
Thanks for answering this thread today.. I've been running all over like crazy to tie down the last things needed to be done before I fly in.

She's had this whole gig under such organized management it's humbling to watch, and we can't thank her enough.
