Do not "bump" your message. You've made your request.

    average joe,
    Heater, you're sure of this?
No, I'm not sure but have a look at http://www.tapatalk.com/pricing.php.
    Do we really need that?
I can read and write to the forum from my phone anyway.

I don't speak for Parallax, but, if I were in charge of their forum, I would not want to install any 3rd party software if at all possible. First of all, this one costs real money for the features Parallax would need. Second, anything you add potentially causes problems with support and forum reliability, certainly adds to the maintenance overhead costs. There would have to be a large portion of the active membership clamoring for this feature before I'd spend much time looking into it.

I completely agree with Mike and Heater.I didn't get that far into pricing or much about it but my android works fine as well. I would never use this and doubt most people will. Why would Parallax waste it's time with less than the full tool-set. Not only is cost a REAL issue but third party software can be a real drag to implement and use. I had all kinds of problems getting a pre-configured HTML script running properly. I was trying to get PHP working with the 3rd party software I had purchased to stream music and finally gave up and barely got HTML going. Poor scripting and poor design caused me to re-write most of the scripts. I never did maintain the playlists properly because their scripting system would crash half the time. And I spent about $300 on something that BARELY did more than winamp and a couple plugins.
When I had my website, I had a basic file server, a couple gaming servers and ventrillo network. Usage was fairly lite so my ISP never said anything about me hosting content. Average upload for a month was around 5 gigs, Down was around 20. Even with that low of demand, maintenance was a full time job. As well as trying to keep up with ever evolving Alpha *and then beta* pre-releases that broke stuff constantly. Now that blocky, mining timesink is full release and I have not played it in a year.

I browse the web and forums on my Android tablet more often than on my PC. Its 7" screen works fine with regular web sites and forums (including this one) most of the time. When the Tapatalk extensions are installed on a server the first page returned displays a message on my tablet that I can use the Tapatalk client with the forum. The client cost $3.00 and I haven't been motivated to buy it because what I have works fine. I haven't kept track how frequently I get that message, but it is certainly less than half the time.
