110VAC x8 Relay from 1 Prop pin

I recently built a relay output board using the Dallas Maxim DS2408 One Wire switch that uses only one output from a Propeller or Stamp (BS2px). It works great being driven from the C3 and I have included a program. Also attached is the board layout if anybody is interested.

Hey, that's really neat! I love boards that can interface via a single 3-conductor servo cable. Speaking of which, however: if anybody were going to build one, I would recommend changing the pin order back to Blk-Red-Wht, so standard servo extension cables can be used without modification.

Caught red handed. Or is it black-white-red handed.

The layout needs to change. Also, the relays are 3V units so the current draw from 5VDC is pushing it. Probably would be better with 5V units that would be compatible with both Prop and Stamp (they draw less current too).

    Regards,

    Hi Stephen,

I really like the look of your DS2408 board / circuit, very clean and tidy design.
I only have Eagle design software on OSX and cant open DIP file. any chance you could post in eagle format of even a jpg ? of your layout ?

    Cheers

    Jay,
I was able to download a 30-daytrial of DipTrace from somewhere on the Parallax main site. This circuit is well within the permissible viewing parameters of the trial.
