Help parallax ping))) 8051

Hi, I'm almost having a heart attack with the parallax PING sensor and MC AT80C52. I was wondering if anyone could help me with the code, its kind of an emergency! i am trying to send the pulse (5us) and then i keep waiting for the return pulse but nothing happens, i would appreciate if anyone could send me a sample code or something, just to give it a start, im starting to think both sensors are broken , i'm using C language btw, thanks in advance!!!!

lol, i already made that search in google, and there's no effective help there with the 8051 :S:S:S:s

The PING))) is pretty straightforward to use. As you've seen from the documentation, you have to produce a positive going pulse at least 5us long, then change the I/O line to input and wait for the leading edge (0V to +5V) of the pulse from the PING))). You start timing at that point and wait for the trailing edge (+5V to 0V) to mark the end of the timing period. If you're not getting a response, you may not be generating the 5us pulse properly. There's sample code for the Arduino on Parallax's KickStart website (look at <learn.parallax.com> for a link). We can't help you with AT80C52 code.
