If you're going to be anywhere near Cambridge, MA, on the third Sunday of the month from April through October, do yourself a great favor and check out the MIT Electronics and Technology Flea Market: http://mitflea.com/ The picture on the website doesn't do it justice - there is a parking garage next to the open lot- and the vendors usually occupy up to the third level of the parking garage. Both sides.
This is one of the most dangerous weekends for me. Opening weekend has some of the most vendors and coolest, most unusual stuff. Every kind of microcontroller and micro-connectable anything, robotics stuff, both electronic and pneumatic, huge to super-tiny. Stuff you won't believe. Last year there was a guy in a purple van with so much hard-to-find surface mount stuff I had to go to my car three times to unload and go back for more (had to go to the ATM twice!). Seriously, you have to see it to believe it. I look forward to this like kids look forward to Christmas (or whatever gift-getting holidays they happen to celebrate!

If anyone's going to be there, let me know, maybe we can meet up and compare our bounty! There's also some great restaurants within a short walk, including a great Indian place I always go to afterwards.
