Xbee Failure

I have a brand new PropBOE, and a few-month-old Xbee. I plug in the Xbee, wire the DO and DI to pins 1 and 0, respectively and run some simple tests. Everything is going fine, until the USB plug refuses to connect to the PropBOE, and the LED's on the PropBOE dim. The only other things I had plugged in were some HB-25 motor controllers, and unplugging them didn't solve the problem. I eventually found that it was the Xbee module, and that removing it let the PropBOE work normally. I plugged the Xbee into my USB Xbee tester and X-CTU gave the message "No Xbee found".
What did I do between point A and B that caused my Xbee to die? Also, is there any way to fix it, or am I stuck with a dead Xbee? It's really frustrating because I've had trouble getting my robot working for days, then I finally found the line of code that messed it up, and when I go to run it, no Xbee. :(

Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

Also, I want to note (and I WILL start a thread for this once I get the robot fully working) that Parallax sent me this PropBOE free of charge, and I had absolutely no idea that I was getting it, so Thank you very much Parallax!!! :):):) I love it, and as I said, I'll post when I get my Stingray successfully outfitted with it. Thanks!

I suggest you call Parallax Tech Support. It may be something wrong with your PropBOE or some failure in the xBee. It could be some kind of surge from the HB-25s. None of these would be obvious or very likely, hence the need for real-time Tech Support.

FWIW, I've got a PropBOE on a BoeBot with an xBee and it works fine.

I had my Xbee working fine for days before that, so it's probably not a short in the PropBOE or anything. The HB-25's are powered with a totally separate power source, which was turned off at the time of the failure, so they were not even powered up. I'll try to contact tech support and see what is wrong.
