Brackets for the Veho 360 Speaker

A couple months ago, I came up with a speaker bracket for the Veho 360:
It was meant to include some additional hardware, i.e. standoffs, screws, and fuse clips. After receiving my own Prop BOE, I now realize that, by redesigning the bracket, the other hardware could be dispensed with for the Prop BOE and Demo Board, if the bracket is mounted directly to the VGA receptacle:
So, I'm going to give away ten of these brackets, made of 1/16" clear acrylic. You will have to peel off the blue protective film and provide the mounting screws (#4-40 x 1/4"). To qualify, post a photo in this thread of yourself holding a Veho speaker and any Propeller-based product with an attached DB9 receptacle (e.g. VGA or RS232) and 1/8" audio jack. Follow that by an email to me with a U.S. (only, sorry) postal address, and I'll get a bracket in the mail to you.
Also, if you want to make your own bracket, there's a zip with the design file in CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, DXF, and PDF formats.

I had been following the other thread and thinking that it was definitely something I'd follow up on when I got my Prop BOE and speaker (which arrived last Saturday).
Anyway, I'd certainly like one (and I'd be willing to pay). If I get one, it will show up at UPEC and UPENE (unless I have to cancel plans to attend, which did happen with UPEW this year).
Of course, this also reminds me that I really, really want to get my own laser.
Rick, Browser says mrrroowwer!

Thanks for the speaker mount!!
We're building a PropBOE Accessory pack, and we will include this little bracket along with the following parts:
USB Cable
microSD Card 1 GB
veho360 speaker
jumper wires

Be sure to use the new design posted in the first post above, instead of the one I did awhile back. That way, you don't have to include the standoffs, fuse clips, etc. Maybe just a couple 4-40 screws, since the DB15 on the BOE doesn't come with jack screws.

I'll take one now that I don't have to comb my hair first.
I'll email you my address.
Thanks,
Paul
I am concerned that 1/16" extruded acrylic is going to crack very easily. I would recommend using high impact acrylic. The stuff I have can be bent almost back upon itself without breaking. I would tell you what it is called but I tore the label off and gave it to someone so that they could buy some more for the robotics club. It used to be called high impact acrylic on the Tap Plastics website but I see that they have updated it. Acrylite Resist 65 might be it.

I was wondering if I showed you a picture of three Prop boards with the required connectors and three Veho360s, could I get one of your brackets for a third of the price?
BTW, I forgot to include a subject in my email. I get used to being able to edit posts after I make them and forget I can't do the same with emails.
Thank you Phil.
Email me your postal address, and I'll get one off to you.

I had sent a request for servo help to Tech Support. Even sent them my goals for this project. Never heard back from them. But the pictures are proof that I am really trying to build it. I am just running out of space to put anything so the bracket, or a usable template, would be great to solve the 360 speaker mounting issue.

I received the mount a couple of days ago. Thanks!
Now my PropBOE-Bot can sound like four monks singing "seven" all day.
Mine arrived the other day also. As soon as my Prop BOE-BOT emerges from the shop after it's Liion and speaker refit, I'll have some pictures to show. It's a great addition for the little fella!!
Thanks!!
I don't mean to cry.....okay....so maybe I do but all of us that pre-ordered missed out on the good stuff. LOL
FEAR the TurboPropBoeBot-inator!!! (ok, can we get some help form Marketing here???)
Thanks Phil, you've helped create a legend!!!
It's great to see them being applied! I've got two left: first-come-first-served.

And maybe a servo cable? The 2x16 Serial LCD doesn't come with one, so that's an example where it would be nice to have one already with the PropBOE.

I am quite new to propBOE, and was wondering how to attach the speaker to it.
