Anyone Interested In A Beanie Bot Competition?

Hello Everyone

I normally do not have time to just have fun and experiment with microcontrollers, however, erco's figure 8 challenge recently caught my attention. In an effort to have a little fun and help promote the newly released Propeller BOE, I thought it might be fun to accept erco's challenge, and create a Beanie Propeller BOE Bot. I am just wondering if anyone has created a beanie bot yet.

Perhaps a Beanie Bot vehicle, complete with spinning propeller, headlights, taillights, radio, and horn :).

For that matter, it might be interesting to have a Beanie Bot competition for design, appearance, overall performance, and the ability to complete erco's figure 8 challenge.

Anyone interested?

Bruce

You saw my hat pitch. I'm all for silly fun! I'll bring bots & plates for the Fig 8 challenge. For Friday nite if nothing else!

In all honesty, no I didn't. You mean you beat me to this idea? Did you have any positive feedback?

Bruce, It's a little sad you don't normally
have time to just have fun and experiment
    with microcontrollers.
Since your absence in this activity
    things have progressed somewhat.
The value in a Beanie Bot Cap competition
    is now the Propeller chip
    which robotically controls
    the humans
    all walking in figure 8's
    wearing their beanie caps.
Of course, the cap needs headlights, tailights,
a radio and piezo beeper horns
    because the competition
always lasts from dusk till dawn...

Humanoido, HAha. So what you're not telling us is said beanie has high voltage electrodes inside to steer the human participant? .... ok maybe participant is the wrong word :)

Humanoido, I may have given you Smile in the past, but I find your latest contribution outstanding! It's poetry!

Make the sound is turned on so we can hear radio playing something and the piezo beeper horns beeping when it's backing up:lol:.

Wow, I just wanted to post that link to the Youtube song "Robot Parade" for idbruce. But the forced movie trailer for "Snow White and the Huntsman" was far better. That's a first!

Spiral_72, Haha, you’re very close! Actually the technique is simple and noninvasive. It uses a small “heads-up display” on the cap that flashes the commands, left, right, stop, start and the human must obey, or receive a small incentive shock.

This is based on SF Technology. Years ago, the Electrocution Slapper was invented. As you know, there are 3 types of people. 1) those stupid all the time, 2) those smart all the time, and 3) those who are smart with moments of stupidity.

The Electrocution Slapper is worn as a hat that detects moments of stupidity and electrically slaps the brain back into common sense. Product demand was overwhelming.

Add GPS, so if you lose your cap it can fly back onto your head.
