No, I don't think so. It's not a pick and place machine... It's used to put the reels of parts into the pick and place machine

This is what a pick and place machine looks like:

"Pick and place" is a term also used in general manufacturing, for robotic automation and delta robots etc, eg

I think that arm is just the right size to pick up a crate of SMT parts and fling them at a wall of stenciled PCBs.

And it could do the same procedure many times over, with the same results.

Today we met with Juki about displacing our Assembleon P&P machine - the continual upgrade path means that companies like Parallax frequently sell their machines at a fraction of their original price. What's not working for us might be a highly productive machine for people like yourself. My point: $30K can get you a used machine which you could get up and running with some effort. The same machine may have sold for $170K a few years ago. Ours isn't for sale yet, but I'm seeing Assembleons available around the country for very reasonable prices.

These machines all have many additional costs (feeders, carts, software, support, etc.).

    Oh, Ken. If only! $$$

Realistically, this is more in the budget. http://www.ebay.com/itm/320834487409
